FAQ

We only have one set of ears and we live in a noisy world, so protecting our hearing is crucial. That is why we created Loop Earplugs, which combine protection and comfort. They help you avoid sensory overload by reducing annoying or loud sounds, are reusable and stylish! Thanks to the different sizes and designs you are sure to find a Loop that totally fits – and suits – you!

These are very different from any other earplugs you’ve tried before. Your ears will get the very best protection, in the most comfortable, durable and stylish way. Whatever the level of noise reduction you’re looking for, we’ve got a Loop for you.

Sounds good? Give us a try! With ear tips in 4 different sizes and lots of fun colours to choose from you’re guaranteed to find your perfect fit.

Loop Experience earplugs are designed so sound and speech remains clear yet less loud, by mimicking your ears’ acoustical function. Say what? Yes, its unique technology, combining an acoustic channel with mesh, reduces ambient sounds by 18 dB. Enough to protect your ears without compromising on the experience.

Peace and quiet in the most comfortable circumstances: that’s what you get with Loop Quiet. These earplugs, made of soft silicone, are designed to lower ambient noise by 27 dB. Enough to let you concentrate, sleep or travel peacefully

Loop Mute is an add-on to give you even more noise reduction, whenever you want. Inserted into Loop Experience or Experience Pro plugs, it further lowers the sound by 5 dB. Or just add it to your Quiet earplugs and customize them with a colour combo.

No need for sign language. Our Experience products are designed to keep speech and music crystal clear, while still offering you the best hearing protection there is.

The Loop Experience and Loop Experience Pro models provide an 18 dB sound reduction across all frequencies and up to 23 dB with the Mute add-on inserted. Our Quiet product reduces sound by 27 dB.

Trust us, you’re 100% normal. This phenomenon, which is called ‘occlusion’, has been reported by all earplug users. It is in fact a sign that you are wearing your plugs correctly. When you can hear yourself talk, it’s an indication the seal between your ear and ear canal is secure. Everybody experiences this, and the good news is you get used to it very quickly.

They are very comfortable (ear tips in 4 sizes to find your perfect fit), reusable and they look awesome!

Our Experience products are much more technical and perform very differently from the standard earplugs you're used to. While regular earplugs just block sound, both Experience models are designed to mimic your ear's function so the sound remains natural but at reduced volume levels.

If you just want to push noise to the background and enjoy maximal comfort, Loop Quiet is for you. People typically use Quiet for sleep, focus and travel.

Need smaller ear tips? We've got you covered with XXS ear tips that are available separately! (Only compatible with Loop Experience)

The Experience Pro includes new accessories so you can fine-tune the fit and sound filtering. Inside the box, you will find an additional set of foam ear tips along with the Loop Mute. Loop Mute is an add-on to give you even more noise reduction, whenever you want.

Loop Experience is CE (Europe) and ANSI (USA) certified hearing protection, which reduces the noise by 18 dB across low, mid and high frequencies. For noise-sensitive people, it reduces stress and sensory overload by reducing the noise level. Judging from the Flare Calmer product description, this product does not offer a noise reducing component and is not certified as hearing protection. Loop comes with soft silicone ear tips in 4 sizes for your perfect fit, and we believe it looks way better ;)

Life getting too loud? Loop is the answer. Whenever you want to lower the volume for protection and/or comfort.

Our Experience earplugs are loved by musicians, concert-goers, motorcyclist, teachers … even parents. Ideal for those moments when you want to reduce sounds to a more comfortable level, while still hearing perfectly.

Want to sleep on both ears? Then Loop Quiet is for you! These ear plugs, which are made entirely of soft, flexible silicone, offer ultimate comfort and the highest noise reduction. Their round shape fits your ear perfectly, without sticking out and it will stay put throughout the night.

Loop was designed to fit fully adult ears but we have heard that many youngsters have found relief using them too! They are suitable for ages 12 and up as long as the right size is worn. However, we do encourage parental discretion as they are a small in-ear device that needs to be used with care on young ears.

Loop Earplugs will definitely protect your ears from developing tinnitus or the worsening of a current condition. However, they will not reduce the volume of internal sounds like ringing in your ears and are not a cure for an existing condition. In cases where loud noises are a trigger for ringing in your ears, our earplugs help reduce the volume of your surroundings so they can provide relief! We have received many positive reports from customers with tinnitus who enjoy using Loop - check out our social media channels for testimonials! Just note that Loop is not a certified medical device nor is it a cure for tinnitus.

We've received lots of positive reactions from users that say our Experience products have helped with all of these conditions. They are designed to take the edge of noise while keeping sound and speech clear. So for people whose daily lives are affected by noise, for whatever reason, they will have a very positive impact. Want to know more? Check our social media channels for testimonials.

Some situations require a volume reduction that is more than what Loop products can provide. Such as situations involving firearms, fireworks, standing next to a helicopter or airplane. In those cases, stronger hearing protection is required. Our earplugs are also not suitable for swimming as exposure to water may damage the internal components and we can't guarantee the seal will keep all water out.

Some states may prohibit the use of devices such as Loop while driving.  Check your applicable driving and traffic laws before wearing while driving.

In the event that you are using Loop to address a noise issue in your workplace, Loop may or may not sufficiently reduce noise levels under all conditions to satisfy workplace requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration or the Environmental Protection Agency.

Silicone ear tips are more flexible and soft so they’re easier to insert. This material is also washable and extra durable.

Foam ear tips are made of thermo-shaping memory foam, a material you can mold to the shape of your ear canal if you warm them in your hands first. The perfect option for a very secure, yet comfortable seal.

Yep, our plugs are fit for all, because they come with removable silicone ear tips, in 4 different sizes. So, whether you’re an extra small or a large, you can adjust your Loops to fit you perfectly. Additionally, you can get foam ear tips in 3 sizes or order XXS ear tips for your Experience and Experience Pro!

Absolutely! Additional ear tips can be purchased in different sizes at our website’s accessories section.

It was written in the stars. Just like Loop, Tomorrowland has a progressive, customer-first mindset coupled with a passion for music. For these bona fide Belgian brands, it’s a match made in heaven!

At festivals and other live events, you’re constantly exposed to sound levels that can permanently damage your hearing. Even 15 minutes of intake at 100 dB can negatively impact your health. Ever come home from a concert or festival with that ringing, pounding sound and sensation in your ears? That’s a tell-tale sign of hearing damage. Though the ringing may fade within a few hours or days, the damage can last a lifetime.

Hearing protection helps stop this process in its tracks. And can help you avoid serious conditions down the line – like tinnitus.

The simple answer: they enhance your experience while protecting you from hearing damage. They do this by reducing decibel intake while preserving crystal-clear sound quality. This is thanks to their innovative design around an acoustic channel. You don't need to worry that you won’t be able to chat with friends between sets.

You can also personalize your Loops. Add colorful Ear tips and Loop Mute for added decibel coverage.

Everything we design aims to not only protect your hearing, but to elevate your experience. And your look, too. And Loops never get uncomfortable. So you can wear them all day long – or store them in their special carry case when needed. All our products are tested and certified in Germany.

During the day, festivals are about living life to the fullest and maximizing music consumption. But it’s important to get a good night’s sleep between sunset and sunrise on the next fun-filled day.

Loop Quiet Earplugs help eliminate distracting sounds so you can rest easy – without completely muting the stuff you still want to hear. The Loop Quiet is made of soft-touch silicone and comes with ear tips available in sizes XS to L. This helps make sure your earplugs suit your ears without falling out, sticking out or causing discomfort. They’re also super bendy and flexible. And they’re easily washable in running water or with a damp cloth. This means you can reuse them indefinitely – so the earth will thank you, too.

It’s all in the technology. Loop Experience Earplugs are built around an acoustic channel, combined with a filter and membrane. The acoustic channel mirrors the length of a human ear canal. This translates into 18 decibels of noise reduction, all while sounds and speech remain clear.

All Loop products have a declaration of conformity and are in compliance with the laws covering PPE (personal protective equipment). We test extensively and all our products are officially certified as hearing protection.

Take the ring of the Loop between your thumb and index finger, put it in your ear. Once sealed in the ear canal, turn and adjust so your Loops aren't visible from the front.

Take the ear tip between your thumb and index finger, simply push and twist it over Loop's stem until it can't go any further. A tip for the silicone ear tips: flip the flexible part of the ear tip backward before installing it on Loop's stem.

Simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth! Do not use alcoholic wipes or other harsh chemicals and do not immerse Loop Experience or Experience Pro in water. Loop Quiet and our silicone ear tips can be washed in water. Always store your Loop in its protective carry case.

Loop was designed to last for many years. For hygienic reasons, we suggest replacing the ear tips after 3-6 months. Replacement sets can be bought via our website.
