Flip the Switch: Loop’s highest-tech earplug yet allows users to toggle between sound states on the go

PRESS RELEASE

Loop Earplugs is shaking things up this fall with the brand’s latest innovation in earwear – Loop Switch. Allowing users to shift effortlessly between social, active and focus-oriented use states, Switch makes managing sounds as easy as flipping a switch.

Max control, total convenience
Loop users asked, and the brand’s product designers have once again delivered: Switch is the most technically ambitious addition yet to the company’s core range. The Loop community told us they wanted a 3-in-1 product that made switching between auditory situations totally seamless.

Switch builds on the elevated, award-winning design and technology for which Loops have come to be known. As Loop co-founder Dimitri O puts it, “We don’t just make earplugs, we make earwear. Bold, fashionable noise reduction and hearing comfort solutions that empower people to live their best lives. Professionals, parents, people with noise sensitivity – you name it.”

Flip the Switch on sound
Loop Switch is adaptability at your fingertips. Total confidence and control, no matter the day you’re having. Earplugs that reinvent the way you move from one moment to the next, perfect for users looking to streamline their existing earwear routine. The 3-in-1 product makes it possible to toggle between three auditory settings that correspond with the cornerstone earplugs of Loop’s core collection: Experience, Engage and Quiet.

The ‘Engage’ mode is intended for social settings like family get-togethers and meetings, as well as for managing noise sensitivity, offering up to 17 dB (SNR). The ‘Experience’ mode, which is intended for active environments like live music, festivals, commutes and travel, and activities like motorcycling, offers up to 21 dB (SNR) of noise reduction. And the ‘Quiet’ mode affords up to 25 dB (SNR) and is perfect for focus and concentration, work-from-home and productivity.

Switching between settings is simple: users simply rotate the dial on the outer ‘loop’ portion of the earplug, toggling between attenuation levels according to three symbols demarcating each of the product’s three modes.

Seamless coverage, across the board

Switch represents a new, specialized area of focus within the hearing protection space. It responds to a pressing need for earwear that looks and feels great, and which can be seamlessly integrated into a range of lifestyles.

Maarten Bodewes, Loop’s other co-founder, says, “Switch doesn’t replace the other earplugs in our portfolio – it builds on their offerings. Increasingly, we develop earwear that responds to specific customer needs. In the case of Switch, that was a totally seamless user experience.”

Loop Switch (€54.95 / $59.95) is available in four colors: Black, White, Blue and Pink. Each set comes with color-matched silicone ear tips in sizes XS, S, M and L. Like all Loops, Switch comes with a new and improved Carry Case for easy access and storage on the go.

Loop Switch will be available for purchase from October 10, 2023, exclusively at www.loopearplugs.com.
