Yes, this is totally normal. This phenomenon is called ‘occlusion’ and has been reported by all earplug users. It's a sign that you're wearing your earplugs correctly. Our Loop Engage earplugs are designed to combat occlusion, helping keep speech clear when you're wearing them.
What level of sound reduction does Loop offer?
Loop Quiet offers 27 dB noise reduction, more than any other Loop earplug. Loop Experience offers 18 dB on all frequencies to retain sound quality, and our new Loop Engage offers 16 dB while keeping speech clear for conversations. The Experience Plus and Engage Plus both feature a Loop Mute accessory to provide an additional 5 dB noise reduction on-demand.

We have a 100-day return policy, which means you have 100 days after receiving your item to request a return for any reason.
